The actress of Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty, and her husband, the businessman Raj Kundra, face a police investigation as part of an alleged fraud of Rs 60 crores.

According to managers of the form of economic offenses (EOW) of the Mumbai police, Raj KURAND is accused of having transferred approximately 15 Rs of RS from the total amount in a account of the company belonging to Shilpa Shetty. To understand its role in the matter, Shilpa was called upon to question this week.
She was at the EOW office for more than four and a half hours, where she answered questions about her financial involvement. During the interrogation, Shilpa would have shared bank statements and details on transactions linked to his advertising company. Police also collected important documents, which are now examined.
So far, declarations of five people, including Raj Kundra, have been recorded. RAJ’s own declaration had been made before in September. Officials say they always follow the flow of funds to verify the objective behind the alleged transfers.
In a recent update, the Mumbai police confirmed: “The investigations continue against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in a case of alleged fraud of Rs 60 crusions.”
Meanwhile, the couple’s request to travel abroad was refused by the court. Shilpa and Raj had asked for permission to go on family vacation in Phuket, Thailand, from October 2 to 5, but the High Court of Bombay rejected their plea. The two also asked for a suspension of the surveillance notice issued against them by the EOW, which was not granted.
The case continues to remain under investigation.
