Aamir Khan frequently shared his ambition to bring the Indian epic, Mahabharat, on the big screen. In a recent interview, it seems that the actor-producer is closer to making this dream a reality. He revealed that he planned to start working on the project this year.

In a recent conversation with the Hollywood Reporter India, Aamir shared his intention to start working on the Mahabharat this year. The actor also mentioned that he would produce the film under his own production banner. Asked about the project, Aamir expressed: “I hope to start working on it this year.”
Aamir also mentioned that the film will be divided into several parts, similar to the Rings franchise. However, he stressed that the writing process would take several years alone. “It will take a while because the writing process will take a few years,” he said.
Aamir also revealed that he had not yet decided if he would play in the film. Casting decisions will be taken according to which best suits each role. “We will see who we have to launch who is appropriate for which part,” he said.
Aamir expressed: “I don’t think you can say Mahabharat in a film, so it will be several films. I look at a large scale. It is too early to say, but we may need multiple directors ”, recognizing the immense scale of the Mahabharat project.
Aamir Khan was seen for the last time Laal Singh ChaddhaA Hollywood Classic remake Forrest GumpWho hit theaters in 2022. After the film did not perform well at the box office, Aamir took a short break before starting work on his next project, Sitaare Zameen by.
Sitaare Zameen by is a thematic sequence of Aamir Khan’s successful film in 2007 Taare Zameen by. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film presents Genelia Deshmukh alongside Aamir Khan. Produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, he should go out in theaters on June 20.
