Shubman Gill’s Remarks On 14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Century Draw Criticism

The skipper of Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill, did not say much when he was questioned on Blitzkrieg of the 14-year-old Royals of Rajasthan Vaibhav Suryavanshi against his team on Monday. While RR inspired by Suryavanshi managed to pursue the target of 210 points with more than 4 letters to lose, the way in which RR marked races naturally shaken the whole team of Gujarat Titans, including Gill. Speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, however, Gill did not sing praise for Suryavanshi, suggesting that it was young people, who helped him do what he did.

“It was his day (lucky). His strike was simply huge, and he took full advantage of his day,” said Shubman Gill, speaking to the broadcaster after the match.

The former India cricket player Ajay Jadeja, however, was not impressed by what Gill had to say. To say that luck was behind the performance of Suryavanshi, was not welcomed by Jadeja. The former striker of India wanted more Gill, even if he stood at the reception of the adolescent’s exploits.

“But a 14-year-old child to believe in himself, the amount he believes in himself, and to take him so far, even if it is, you know, one day as a television player has just said, Oh, it was only his luck day,” said Jadeja in a conversation with Jiostar before the conversation of the conversation because of the presentation ceremony.

Later, Jadeja entered the depths of what Suryavanshi achieved on the ground. He said how, at the age of 14, scoring an IPL century against some of the best than elsewhere in the world, is really a magnificent feat.

“We all who played cricket, dreamed of cricket in a certain way, either in our salons or when we were playing with our friends. This is what you dream of. At 14 and 15 years old, we all had to dream of different things. But that is what you really dream of. This man is gone and lived this dream.

“A few moments after seven overs that you died of a strategic time. A big credit to Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour and the team, which allowed him to continue to flow and continue to flourish. And I think it is the mentality that escapes me more than anything,” he added.
