In the midst of Indo-Pake tensions, Harshvardhan Rane finally broke her silence after actress Pakistani Mawra Hocane destroyed on social networks to get away from Sanam Teri Kasam 2. In a strongly common Instagram story, Rane called on his declaration “an attempt at personal attack” while stressing that he chose to withdraw from the film because he has no tolerance for any attack on the dignity of his country ”.

The controversy broke out when Hocane strongly reacted to the reports that Rane refused to work with her in the rest of their romantic drama of 2016 due to current geopolitical problems. In an article shared on her social networks (as Filbebeat reported), Mawra wrote: “I don’t know if I should call this unhappy, sad or comical. Someone I expected to have a good basic sense resisted a deep sleep with a public relations strategy. Look around you, look at what is going on !!! by my armed forces, I provoked a frenzy in your country last night.
“Make such announcements at this volatile time, it is both shameful and bizarre to see you so hungry and desperate. If you keep respect and use my name after 9 years, you make the headlines, you could be surrounded by the bad team. Praying for our soldiers .. and civilians on both sides, she did not add in the thoughts of what my next film should be!
Responding to this, Harshvardhan Rane said, “It looked like an attempt at personal attack. Fortunately, I have a tolerance to neglect such attempts – but I have zero tolerance for any attack on the dignity of my country. An Indian farmer would not have come out of unwanted grass in the right direction. Choosing not to work with people who qualify the actions of my “coward” country. So much hatred in his speech, so many personal remarks, I have never mentioned his name or I used his name.
Directors of Sanam Teri KasamRadhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, also weighed on the controversy, holding firmly with Rane. In a statement to Hindustan Times, they said: “So we fully agree with the decision of our government: not a single roupire should be paid. Not a single minute of our time as a nation should be offered. Not a single Indian platform should engage with them. What matters most is our nation and the well-being of our people. We keep ourselves next to our government and fully support its decision. Nation first – always! “
With the main actor and the administrators aligned with their decision, it is now confirmed that Mawra Hocane will not be part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2.
