Sanjay Leela Bhansali brought together the most talented actors in Indian cinema – Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt – for her next director, her love and her war. The film was announced for the release of Eid 2026, but Bollywood Hungama exclusively obtained an Intel that love and war will no longer come out on Eid 2026 and will avoid the conflict with Yash Starrer Toxic.

A commercial source informed Bollywood Hungama on anonymity that love and war have been officially delayed from the date of March 2026 already announced. “Love and War Shoot started on time, but there was a delay from the end of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film was to conclude by November 2025, but according to the most recent pencil schedule, SLB is looking to finish the film by February 2026. The new release date of Love and War will be in the middle of 2026”, a commercial source shared with Bollywood Hungama.

It seems that the delay in the calendar has occurred due to budgetary problems. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is self -funded the film and has found the budget to ensure that it respects the deadlines. It is a period film and needs good costs to make things work. SLB has now bought the required funds and restarts filming without a delay of 2 months,” said further.

A call to the new date of release of love and war will soon be taken, but the film will probably be a mid-2026 release.
