The ex-fast bowler Mohammad Amir says that he felt away and ignored by the “configuration of the Pakistani cricket” after the World Cup T20 2024 and quoted the lack of communication as a reason for his retirement at the end of last year. Amir and Imir Wasim came out of their retirement to play at the T20 World Cup of last year in which the Pakistan flop show saw the 2009 winners who did not make the Super Eight scene. These two players announced their retirement on consecutive days last December. Amir said on a television channel: “I felt away and ignored by the configuration of the Pakistani cricket after the T20 World Cup. After the end of the T20 World Cup, nobody even told me. No one told me if I was one of the future plans.” “A wise person understands the signs-if you are not in the plans, then you have to think of yourself. This is exactly what I did. I decided now-thank you very much, the international cricket,” he said.
The left arm stimulator had previously retired from international cricket in December 2020 at the age of 28, citing problems with Misbah Ul Haq and Waqar Younis coaches.
Amir said he even refused to accept a contract to play the county’s cricket after PCB asked him to play in the World Cup in the Americas.
“Honestly, I ended up spending more money than I did. I have traveled with my trainer, and all these expenses came out of my pocket. But that’s another matter,” said Amir.
Meanwhile, Amir supported players with an aggressive state of mind in cricket.
“The cricket was fierce. Being mentally aggressive is part of the beauty of the game. It is not a lack of respect-it is a question of moving the concentration of the striker. Out of the field, we all drag and pleasant,” he said.
Amir, 33, also supported Pakistan, which strikes Babar Azam pillar to get out of its recent difficulties while highlighting its technical faults.
