Himachal govt dismisses Kangana Ranaut’s inflated bill claims, says she has a history of delayed payments : Bollywood News
Wednesday, the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEBL) responded to the allegations made by Mandi BJP deputy and the actor of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut, declaring that she had a delayed electricity bill payments.

Clarification occurred one day after Kangana Ranaut, speaking during a public rally in the Mandi district, alleged that she had received an inflated electricity bill of almost 1 Lakh for her house Manali, despite the fact of not residing in it today. She also made a blow on the government of the State, referring to it as a “pack of wolves”.
In response to his remarks, the Minister of Chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who is currently in Gujarat, said: “I do not take her statements seriously. She often makes such comments.”
The director general of HPSEBL, Sandeep Kumar, said that the 90,384 rupee bill issued on March 22, 2025, included contributions in progress of 32,287 rupees and counted electricity consumption in January and February 2025. The domestic connection is recorded in the name of Kangana Ranaut and is revealed to his property in the village of Simesa, Manali.
Kumar also noted that the connected load on the property of Ranaut was 94.82 kW, or about 1,500% higher than the average cleaning. He added that previous invoices amounting to Rs.82 061 for the period from October to December 2024 were paid late on January 16, 2025, while the bill from January to February was settled on March 28, 2025.
The MD also said that Ranaut receives government grants on its electricity consumption, including RS.700 for February 2025.
Naresh Chauhan, chief Minister’s main councilor, said: “Her comments are an attempt to divert attention from her failures as a deputy. No additional accusation has been deducted; His claims are baseless and centered on the title. ”
Attempts to reach the Ranaut team for an answer remained unanswered.
Speaking during a public meeting in the district of the Jarol assembly, Mandi Kangana Ranaut’s deputy criticized the congress by recalling major scams before 2014, including 2G, coal and fodder scandals. She praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying: “Chand Pe Daag Hota Hai, a little Ek Bhi Daag Nahin Hai” – comparing her impeccable balance sheet for imperfections even on the moon.
