Kagiso Rabada, Banned For Using Recreational Drug, Set To Return In IPL 2025 For GT Against…

According to three months, the South African speedster Kagiso Rabada served a one-month ban, reduced by three months, for having used a recreational medication during the SA20, held earlier this year. In a press release published by the South African Institute of Drug Free Sports (dit), Rabada, which represented the Mi Cape Town, failed a doping test on January 2 following their match against the Super Giants of Durban.
The rapid 29 -year -old was informed of the decision on April 1 when he represented the Titans of Gujarat in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League rich in cash (IPL) 2025. At the time, GT published a statement indicating that Rabada returned to South Africa “to face an important personal affair” without offering a deadline for his return.
According to Espncricinfo, said Rabada has confirmed that Rabada has since participated in an education and awareness program to prevent other drug addicts. He should resume the game immediately and could return to action on the field on Wednesday, when GT faces the Mumbai Indian five -year champions (Mi).
There have been cases where players have been given in the long term, which depend on individual cricket cards. Last year, the Zimbabwe cricket board prohibited Wessly Madhevere and Brandon Mavuta for four months each and sentenced to 50% of their salary for three months after the duo was tested positive for a recreational medication.
According to Espncricinfo, it is unlikely that South Africa cannot impose an additional punishment in Rabada. Saturday, Rabada published a statement expressing remorse for his actions.
“As was reported, I recently returned to South Africa by participating in the IPL for personal reasons. This was due to my return from an unfavorable analytical conclusion for the use of a recreational drug,” said Rabada, according to Espncricinfo.
“I am deeply sorry for all those I dropped. I will never take the privilege of playing cricket for granted. This privilege is much larger than me. It goes beyond my personal aspirations,” he added.
Rabada appeared in two lights for the titans during the current season and sculpted two pavelus leathers at an average of 41.50, giving races to a heavy saving of 10.38.
