The actors Kajol and Kherin Sharma launched the trailer for their film Maa to a multiplex in Mumbai. They were joined by the actor-producer of Kajol, Ajay Devgn, the producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, the director Vishal Furia and the project manager and the creative producer Vishal Danish Devgn. R Madhavan was the surprise guest, and that added to pleasure.

Kajol said: “It is the first time that a mythological horror has been attempted. I am very happy to be part of it and to have all this support behind me. ”

What attracted the attention of the participants is that everyone’s names brought the mention of the mother in the middle. Ajay Devgn was asked about it and he said: “We are making a film named Maa. Usually we mention the names of fathers in the middle. This time, we estimated that mothers should obtain their respect for. Consequently, the intermediate names of all the credits listed have the names of mothers. As planned, there were applause in the crowd on this answer.

On a serious note, Ajay said: “When Saiwyn Quadras told me this idea, I realized that so many horror films and horror comedies are in progress. But no one has tried a mytho horror film although our mythology is rich with such stories. We thought it was a great idea and we decided to use it. The mother’s character was so strong. Who else could have thought of her (pointing Kajol)?

Maa is also produced by Jyoti Deshpande by Jio Studios. On this subject, Ajay said, “It has always been fabulous. She has always been a great friend. She supports good cinema. Whatever we want to do, she’s still there. So thank you! Interestingly, Jio Studios and Devgn Films are the pioneers of the kind of mythological horror. Their previous collaboration, Shaitaan (2024), also belonged to the same area.
