Manchester United will play friendly matches in Malaysia and Hong Kong three days after the end of the Premier League season, the club announced on Tuesday. Ruben Amorim’s team will face an Asean All-Star XI team in Kuala Lumpur on May 28 and Hong Kong representatives on May 30. They will finish what was another disappointing campaign in the Premier League on May 25 at Aston Villa. United visited Asia for the last time when they played Liverpool in Thailand in July 2022. They will participate in the Premier League summer series in the United States before the 2025-2026 season.

The chief executive officer, Omar Berrada, said: “Above all, the tour devices are generating significant additional income that helps the club stronger, allowing us to continue to invest in the field success.”

Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool previously announced that they would visit Hong Kong in July.

United, which currently languishes on the 13th in the Premier League, visited the Chinese city for the last time in 2013.

The Hong Kong team is managed by the former player of the young UNIS Ashley Westwood team and is ranked 153rd in the world.
