Like most of the cricket world, the former Indian Madan Lal World Cup stimulator is completely impressed by the breathtaking IPL performance of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged 14, but he also has a word of caution for the rising star – talent alone will not be enough in the future. LAL said that the Bihar Samastipur prodigy should also be disciplined and concentrated to succeed. “It is very talented. But talent alone does not guarantee success. It must be concentrated, disciplined and continue working hard. If its process is fair, I think it can reach incredible heights,” LAL “PTi Videos” told.

“I have never seen a child like that. When I was Captain of the Delhi team, Sachin (Tentulkar) played against us at a very young age and scored about 80 points in the semi-final of the Ranji trophy.
“Then came Virat Kohli, who still plays. And now everyone talks about Suryavanshi. He has all the emissions of a superstar,” he said.
LAL has described Suryavanshi’s strike capacities as a “talent given by God”. “… But it’s up to you to decide how you work there. Your sincerity, your discipline, your education-these count a lot. Family support is also important. When your parents are disciplined and favorable, which gives you additional motivation,” he explained.
LAL said that Suryavanshi should play as much domestic cricket as possible in the future.
“Playing in different conditions against various opponents helps you grow,” he said.
