Pakistan Star Javelin Thrower, Arshad Nadeem, refused to comment on his Rival Neeraj Chopra, who was recently trolled for inviting the Olympic gold medalist for the classic NC now posted to Bengaluru, due to cross tensions in progress. The fatal terrorist attack in the popular tourist destination of Jammu-Cachemire, Pahalgam, which killed 26 people, took place before Neeraj extended his invitation to the Pakistani launcher, but Indian AS was still criticized on social networks.

“I do not want to comment on Neeraj because of the current conflict with India,” Nadeem told journalists here.

“I come from a village and I will only say that I and my family will always stand with our army,” added Nadeem.

Neeraj had finished second in Nadeem at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Tokyo’s Olympic gold medalist, Neeraj, had also echoed similar feelings before the Diha’s leg of the Diamond League meeting on May 15, saying that he and Nadeem were never very close friends.

The Javelin Classic NC event, named after the famous Indian and initially scheduled for May 24 in Bengaluru, was postponed earlier this month in the wake of the military conflict with Pakistan.

Nadeem said he was targeting the 100m mark after his gold medal in Paris.

“I have always said that I was still laughing with myself and that my ambition is to reach the 100m one day,” said Pakistani javelin launcher.

He added that if Neeraj is doing well, “it’s good for him”.

Neeraj recently offered a personal record of 90.23 million in the DOHA leg of the Diamond League meeting. To violate the 90m mark, he has frightened for over five years.
