Pakistan led by Mohammed Rizwan was sentenced to a fine of 5% of his match fees for excessive slowdown in the second Odi against New Zealand in Hamilton on Wednesday. Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite panel, match referees, imposed the sanction after the visit side was judged more than the target after taking time allocations. According to article 2.22 of the CPI conduct code, which governs minimum failure offenses, the players are sentenced to a fine of five percent of their match costs for each of their team below the bowling in the stipulated time.

The Rizwan skipper pleaded guilty to the offense and accepted the sanction, eliminating the need for an official hearing.

The accusation was noted by the referees on the ground Michael Gouth and Wayne Knights, as well as the third referee Paul Reiffel and the fourth referee Chris Brown.

This is the second consecutive case when Pakistan was sentenced to a fine for a slow pace. In the first Odi against New Zealand in Napier, which visitors lost 73 points, the team turned out to be two on the objective after time allowances were taken into account.

By following 1-0 in the series, Pakistan was broken by 84 points while Mitchell Hay scored a 99 * career record to help the hosts after 292/8 in the first round. Ben Sears led New Zealand with the ball, recording the best 5/59 career figures to help Pakistan for 208, despite the resistance of Faheem Ashraf (73) and Nasem Shah (51).

The third ODI between the two parties is scheduled for Saturday April 5 in Mount Maunganui.
