The players of the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Indians of Mumbai will wear black armbands in their IPL match which will not offer cheerlers and fireworks here on Wednesday to cry the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam which caused 26 deaths. The teams will also observe a minute of silence to pay tribute to the people affected by the incident who attracted international conviction.

“The players of two teams will wear black armbands and will observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have lost their lives in the terrorist attack in the Pahalgam of Kashmir,” said a BCCI source in PTI.

“As a mark of respect, there would be no cheerleader on the touch of the game Mi vs Srh. No crackers will be broken,,” he added.

The terrorists opened fire on civilians on the popular tourist site of the South Kashmir on Tuesday, killing at least 26 people and injuring several others.

The resistance front (TRF), which is part of the Lashkar-E-Taiba terrorist group (Let) based in prohibited Pakistan, claimed the responsibility of the attack. The attack led to a strong conviction from around the world.

The Indian Cricket team broke bilateral cricket with Pakistan after Mumbai 2008 terrorist attacks and recently refused to visit the country for the Champions Trophy, which prompted the ICC to make arrangements for a neutral place in Dubai.
