Piracy Shock: Man creates app to stream Chhaava illegally; nabbed by Mumbai Cyber Police : Bollywood News

In a major boost at the Bollywood during hacking battle, Cyber South police station, Mumbai arrested a 26 -year -old man for the illegal distribution of the historic epic ChhaavaWith Vicky Kaushal. The arrest occurred almost 12 days after another recent outing, Sikandar With Salman Khan, was also prey to digital hacking, aggravating concerns in the film industry.

A case was recorded as part of the crime register No. 23/2025 following a complaint from Rajat Rahul Haksar (37), CEO of August Entertainment Company. The FIR includes accusations under articles 316 (2), 318 (3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), sections 51, 63 and 65 (a) of copyright law, sections 6AA and 6AB of the Cinematograph Act, and articles 66 and 63 (J) of the IT law. The complaint indicates that between February 14 and March 20, 2025, 1818 pirated links of Chhaava Were illegally broadcast via WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube and Google, causing significant financial damage to producers Maddock Films and August Entertainment.
During a detailed technical investigation, the cyber-investigators drew one of the piracy ties with Sagar Manik Randhavan, a Dund, Pune resident. He had bought an area via hostinger and had created an application to broadcast hacked films – including Chhaava – Paid users. On April 10, with the help of the Daund police, PSI Rupali Chaudhary and his team arrested the accused and brought him to Mumbai. He is currently in police custody until April 13, 2025.
While arrest in the Chhava case is a step in the right direction, the Bollywood industry now hopes that managers of the Salman Khan-Starrer flight Sikandar are also quickly brought to justice. The case was particularly serious, like the hacked printing of Sikandar Worked before the first theatrical show of the film even started, sending shock waves through the profession. In addition, the disclosed version was a raw and not cut copy, suggesting a violation at the initiate level which requires an in -depth investigation.
