The actor and co-owner of the IPL franchise, Preity Zinta, contributed to Rs 1.10 crosses to the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) of the South West Command of the Indian Army. His sincere gesture comes in the wake of Operation Sindoor, launched by India following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

Zinta confirmed her association with the South Western Command when she attended an event organized by them, where she also approached the families of the personnel of the Indian army. Sharing her emotional experience on Instagram, she wrote: “While I was heading for the auditorium in the southwest command of the Indian army, I saw posters of army officers and Jawans at regular intervals, who won various bravery prizes.
“We will never know them. Most of us will never hear about it, will think or miss them. We could mention their sacrifice in a conversation and admire their bravery for a while before continuing our life. This sad reality struck hard while I was struggling to bring a smile on my face when I reached the event for the army of the Welfare Association (AWWA), “she added.
Zinta continued to describe his experience by meeting the families of the martyrs and shared: “During the event, I met the women who would miss these men every day and at every moment of their lives. I met their children and I saw their smiles. There were no complaints and no tears! Just pride, strength and sacrifice.
Explaining the intention behind her contribution, she said: “I went with a little contribution to say thank you for your service and for your sacrifice. I wanted them to know that they are not forgotten and we are indebted to them forever. After the event that I left with a smile on my face and with as much gratitude in my heart. I know that our country is safely like a hero like the one who kept you our borders. A way to thank the families of our defense forces … I Hind ???????? ”She also published a video of the event where she is seen addressing the public and interacting with the members of the Indian army and their families.
According to reports, the funds were given from Zinta of the Punjab (CSR) corporate funds and will be intended for empowerment Veer Naris (War widows) and support the education of their children.
