Arjun Kapoor opened up before before in an interview he gave to the YouTube channel, Chalchitra to speak. While talking about his favorite films, he talked about Mr. India (1987), produced by his father Boney Kapoor and with his uncle Anil Kapoor. He ended up sharing fascinating anecdotes that have not been known for 38 years.
Revealed for the first time in 38 years: Arjun Kapoor opens onto the scene of the deleted massage fair of Mr. India: “M. India ends up massaging someone. You can see the skin move, the flying cucumber… ”
Arjun revealed: “The manufacture of Mr. India is worth talking. They pulled for almost 350 days. They cut almost an hour of sequences (of the final version). They had shot a sequence in a massage lounge. Mr. India Court and hides in a massage lounge. Then he ends up massaging someone. You can see the skin move (laughs). He picks up the cucumber and eats it. So you see the cucumber flying in the air (since Mr. India was invisible).
Arjun was amazed at the special effects of the film, which was done in the pre-VFX era: “I don’t know what they did and how they did. However, it looks so clean. I guess there was patience to make the best film. This allowed me to do R&D and tests and error. It was a very expensive film. My father told me.
To grow, Mr. India was Arjun’s favorite film, “Maine M. India VHS Pe Dekh Ke, Dekh Ke VHS player Kharab Kar Diya! I would not eat food without watching this movie. I used to feel Anil Chachu was Mr. India AUR WOH GHOOM HO JAATE HAI! “”
But the scene where the child dies in an explosion is something that Arjun does not have the heart to see. He admitted: “I don’t see this scene. I have always advanced it. AAJ BHI NAHIN Dekh Paata. I remember this film by heart but when the riding school scene came, HAND AGAGE BADH JAATA HOON! “”
He pointed out: “The film talks about the politics of that time. It is one of the nuanced films that speak of external powers that influence India. The poor and hungry of the country were suppressed by the policy and the introduction of Western civilization. Mogambo represents a greater influence in its policy. ”
