Sanju Samson Fined Rs 24 Lakh By BCCI After Rajasthan Royals’ Loss Against Gujarat Titans. Reason Is…

The Royal Royals of Rajasthan, Sanju Samson, was sentenced to a fine of Rs 24 Lakh after his team maintained a slow exaggerated overtaking during the IPL 2025 meeting against the Gujarat titans on Wednesday. It was a bad day for RR because they were completely outdated by GT and the team led by Samson collapsed with a 58 -point defeat. Samson was sentenced to a fine for breaking the IPL code of conduct and it was the second time that RR had a slow pace during this year’s competition. Earlier, after the match against Chennai Super Kings, captain of replacement Riyan Parag was sentenced to a fine of Rs 12 Lakh. “The rest of the members of the Playing XI, including the impact player, will be sentenced to a fine of six lakhs or 25% of their respective match costs, according to the least,” said a press release from the IPL.
Meanwhile, Samson admitted that his team let the game escape during key moments during their 58 -point defeat against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi stadium. Currently an intimidating objective of 218, RR was overthrown for 159 in 19.2 Overs, while Gujarat’s quisors ran in their range of strikers.
Speaking after the defeat, Samson underlined the towers with execution with Bat and Ball.
“We gave 15-20 additional points in the bowling alley,” he said, quoted by Espncricinfo.
“When we needed momentum, we lost counters. With Hettie [Shimron Hetmyer]Six and ovens continued to come. But I lost my counter and that’s where we lost the game, “he added.
Samson played a promising shot of 41 out of 28 deliveries, hitting four limits and two six. He and Riyan Parag assembled a 48 -point partnership, offering a brief hope before a collapse triggered by the disciplined Bowling attack in Gujarat.
The RR skipper credited Jofra Archer for an impressive start with the ball.
“The way Jofra started was good, he picked up the Shubman’s counter. Then we left the plan. We planned something but they did something else. We will have to look at that tomorrow,” noted Samson.
The Royals have shown force while first striking this season, but questions have emerged on their ability to hunt large total pressure. Samson recognized the debate but reiterated the team’s intention to be a well -balanced unit.
“When you lose games, we also think we had to hunt? We had to do something else?” he reflected.
“We want to be a team that wins games while continuing, not just winning the stick first,” he added.
The Royals are now confronted with a critical period of introspection while they seek to bounce back and resume momentum in the Indian Premier (IPL).
