According to sources, following the submission of a letter of intention to host the 2036 Olympic Games, India has attempted to host the Commonwealth 2030 Games. The Indian government should initiate the offer to host the edition of the Centenary of the Commonwealth Games. The last date to bid for accommodation rights is March 31. In the recent past, reports have said that the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has had informal discussions with the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) concerning the possibility of hosting the event in 2030. New Delhi and Ahmedabad are considered the main options.

In an important stage towards the vision of India to become a sporting power, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) officially sent a letter of intent to the future host commission, the International Olympic Committee (CIC) on October 1, expressing the interest of India to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2036, sources told Ians.

“The vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in India in 2036 took a significant step forward,” said the source.

“This monumental opportunity could provide substantial advantages, promote economic growth, social progress and the empowerment of young people across the country,” added the source.

Prime Minister Narendra Moda has expressed the interest of India to host the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games of 2036.

In an interaction with the athletes of the Paris Olympic Games during the celebrations of the independence day at his residence in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi asked them to give their comments for the preparations for the accommodation of the quadrennial extravagance in 2036.

“India is preparing to welcome the 2036 Olympic Games. In this regard, the contributions of the athletes who have played the previous Olympic Games are very important. You must all have observed and experienced a lot. We want to document this and share it with the government so that we did not miss any small details in the preparation of 2036,” said PM Modi.
