Captain Riyan Parag, Captain Riyan Parag of Rajasthan, believes that he has calculated the target badly and did not finish the match while Kolkata Knight Riders won a race for an exciting meeting in Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Parag played a sparkling 95 -point shot in 45 balls interrupted with eight six and six to four, but failed to finish the match for his team when they fell short while pursuing 22 in the last.
In pursuit of 207, the Rajasthan was on the target with 52 forced by 30 balls with Parag and Shubham Dubey at the Plé. But the dismissal of Parag in the 18th above the tide in favor of KKR. However, Dubey tried to tear off the victory of KKR’s jaws, but fell from a race unless the target despite the marking of two and a four.
“I was too sad about my outing. Probably a calculation error on my side, I should have finished it. I think we could have found better options in the last six Overs. I think they were 120 or 130 and our spinners did very well and perhaps could have reduced their race, but the game was in our hands. We should have finished well,” Parag said after the match.
By reflecting on their bowling performance in the match, Parag admitted that he could have better used his resources against Andre Russell who scored 25-ball 57 at the end of the sleeve fag,
“I did not want to have the word of consecutive only, but now we have the impression that we could have done something else. We must give credit (Russell) because it happened, took its time. The way it accelerated was incredible to look. It is a field where the six are affected, so I knew I had my limits if I stayed. Perfect, and we were not there.”
