Later, Mahesh Manjrekar directed Sanjay Dutt Kurukshetra (2000), Hathyar (2002), Pitaah (2002), Rakht (2004), Viruddh (2005) and VAAH LIFE HO TOH AISI (2005). If everything goes well, the two could join again, after almost two decades, for the remake of the famous film Marathi of 2024, Juna furniture.

Juna furniture is the story of a senior citizen and his son, an officer of the IAS. The senior citizen often finds himself in the need for money and must ask his son. Once, when the father has a similar need, the son is not available. The father is so upset by this experience that he puts a case against his son. The film with Bhushan Pradhan, Anusha Dandekar, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Sachin Khedekar, Shivaji Satam, Uinendra Limaye and the wife of Mahesh Medha Manjrekar.
