Explained: IPL 2025 Playoffs Scenarios For All 8 Teams In Race

The race for a place in the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) warms eight teams still in the running. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are already out of the first four race. 1. Royal Challengers Bengaluru
The RCB place in the playoffs is almost confirmed. They are currently on 16 points and only need a victory for their remaining three games to confirm their place. However, if RCB wins all their remaining matches, they are guaranteed to finish in the first two places.
2. Mumbai Indians
The five champions must win at least two of their remaining matches to confirm their place. They are a great chance that Mi ends in the first two if they win their matches and other remaining results.
3. Titans of Gujarat
For GT, the equation is simpler than Mi. They need two of their four remaining games to enter the playoffs. And, if they earn the four of them, a top two is certain.
4. Punjab Kings
With six wins and a washing after nine games, PBKS must win at least two of their remaining matches to confirm a place in the playoffs. They also have a strong chance of finishing in the first two, but for that, they will have to depend on other results.
5. Delhi Capitals
A recent drop in form has seen DC losing three of their last five games. Currently, they are on 12 points after 10 games and have to win three games out of four to participate in the playoffs.
6. Lucknow Super Giants
LSG is currently seated in sixth place with 10 points after 10 games. They have to win three games out of four to stay alive in the playoff race.
7. Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR is currently seventh in the points table with nine points of 10 games. They must win at least three games and hope that other results go to them.
8. Sunrisers Hyderabad
Like KKR, SRH has an external chance to go to the playoffs. However, they may still not go to the playoffs even if they win all their remaining matches.
