Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava to be screened in Maharashtra’s first state-of-the-art inflatable theatre in Gadchiroli : Bollywood News
In a historic moment for the tribal belt distant from Maharashtra, the mobile theater PictureTime theater launched the first state-of-state inflatable film in Gadchiroli, with the first projection of Vicky Kaushal-Starrer-Starrer-Starrer Chhaava. This unique initiative brings the magic of the big screen to a region previously intact by modern film infrastructure.

Located in one of the MAHARAHTRA’s most badly served districts – with more than 90% of its population living in rural areas – Gadchiroli now houses an entirely air -conditioned inflatable theater equipped with 5.1 Dolby 5.1 sound, digital projection and 120 seats to be repelled. This initiative aims to make world class cinema accessible to the population of 10 lakh in the district at affordable ticket prices of only 150 ₹.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, ChhaavaWho tells the life of the warrior Maratha Sambhaji Maharaj, was chosen as the first projection to arouse cultural interest and relaunch cinema habits in the region.
The Launch Event, Held on May 22, SAW Wait from Key Dignitaries Including Dr. Milindji Narote (MLA, Gadchiroli Assembly Constitentcy), Opinion Panda (IAS, Collector, Gadchiroli), Mr. Prashantji Waghare (BJP Zilha Adhyaksh), and Mr. Surajit Roy (COO & President, PictureTime) Among Others.
After the inauguration, the cinema is launching a regular program with two films: Ata Thambaycha Naay (Marathi) and Kesari Veer (Hindi) with Suniel Shetty. Speaking during the launch, Sushil Chaudhary, founder and CEO of Picturetime, said: “At Picturetime, our mission has always been to democratize cinema by doing it in the most distant corners of India – places where the magic of the big screen has long been. Tamil Nadu, marks important steps in this trip.
The inflatable theater has been set up as a public-private partnership (PPP) with the Municipal Corporation of Gadchiroli, which will owner the infrastructure, while PictureTime will manage programming and operations.
For the future, programming will include a mixture of traditional marathi and Hindi outings, as well as a dedicated effort to project films by independent filmmakers who often fight with theatrical distribution.
PictureTime has already made waves with similar inflatable cinemas through India, including locations such as Ladakh (the highest theater in the world), Kishtwar (J & K), Aifabad (Telangana), Bapatla and Nagaur (Rajasthan) and Khatima (Uttarakhand) – continuing its mission to transform access to cinema.
