The film, which was shot this year in Alibaug, addresses the urgent question of the decline of Maharashtra marathi-medium schools. With a scenario that talks about the cultural soul of the state, the film aligns perfectly with Koli’s trust with the younger public and its commitment to a significant and resonant narration.
Sharing his reflections on his beginnings at the Marathi cinema, Prajakta Koli said: “Going from digital space to Bollywood was an incredible experience, but entering Marathi cinema wants to go home. This step marks a next bold chapter in the actor’s journey of Koli, after remarkable performances in the Andhera of Amazon Prime of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Dharma Productions’ Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
Director Hemant Dhome said: “I finished my schooling in Raigad and I am extremely happy to have had the chance to shoot this film, which concerns the education system in the same region. We were on Cloud Nine looking at the public’s response to the announcement. Now that the shooting is complete, I am even more confident to offer them something new.
Produced by Chalchitra Mandalee (Kshitee Jog’s Production Company) and written and produced by Hemant Dhome, Krantijyoti Vidyalay – Marathi Madhyam should soon go out in cinemas. The film also involves an estimated casting which includes Sachin Khedekar, Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, Kshitee Jog, Kadambari Kadam, Harish Dudhade and Pushkaraj Chirputkar.
