Delhi HC backs Karisma Kapoor’s children, says no to Priya Kapur’s secrecy push : Bollywood News
The High Court of Delhi gave a significant victory to the children of Karisma Kapoor, Samaira and Kiaan, in the battle of in progress in the succession of industrial fire of Sunjay Kapur. The court refused to welcome the advocacy of Priya Kapur to impose a non-divulgation agreement (NDA) or a confidentiality clause on the heirs before allowing them to access the will and the list of assets of Sunjay.

During the hearing, the court orally declared that he would not make a confidentiality club order after the Council agreed not to disclose the content of the asset list as well as information concerning the media case.
Justice Jyoti Singh was unequivocal in his position, observing that such a condition could deprive children from their right to defend themselves. “If they are linked by confidentiality, how will they defend their case?” The judge asked in court.
At the end of the week, Priya – Sunjay’s second wife – was remote from her NDA push. Instead, she agreed to submit documents in a sealed coverage, a judicial mechanism which prevents public disclosure while ensuring full access to family members. For Karisma’s children, this means that they can freely examine and contest the will, which they have already denounced as “false”.
The main defender Mahesh Jethmalani, appearing for Samaira and Kiaan, strongly criticized Priya’s position. “Two accounts were wiped and 6% appropriate. For me, there is nothing confidential. What is there to hide? ” He argued in front of the bench.
The court has now ordered Priya Kapur to file a complete inventory of the mobile and real estate assets of Sunjay Kapur. These details must be shared with Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, and her children – but remained away from the public domain. Above all, the judge excluded Priya’s candidacy to form a so-called “confidentiality club”, calling it an unknown and inappropriate tool in Indian succession disputes.
The decision strengthens the position of the children of Karisma Kapoor, who continue to question the authenticity of the will and alleges a financial diversion from Priya. Basically, the decision highlights a broader principle: the battles of succession require transparency, not the secret. And in this high -level family quarrel, the High Court of Delhi made sure that Karisma’s children have their say in the struggle for their father’s inheritance.
