Karun Nair approached his longtime dream to play again for the senior male cricket team on Friday when he was selected in India a team that will tour in England. After a few catchy performances in domestic cricket, Nair is finally only a good race to go to the senior India Squad again. Nair made his debut in India in 2016, but failed to play for the team longer despite a triple hundred tests. Once he got out of the team, he never returned. After being abandoned from the Karnataka State team in 2022, he published a sincere note on social networks. “Dear cricket, give me one more chance,” Nair wrote on X.

The original karnataka striker, now representing Vidarbha in domestic cricket, has set up a dream season. In the Vijay Hazare 2024-25 trophy, he won 779 points in eight innings, including five centuries in four centuries, as he almost did Vidarbha in the final. But Nair was not finished. He followed with a superb Ranji trophy campaign, marking 863 points in nine games, including a crucial century and fifty in the final against Kerala to guide Vidarbha by the title.

The return of Nair, if that happens, would mark one of the most convincing redemption arcs in Indian cricket. Despite an average of 62.33 in six tests and a historic centered triple, Nair was sidelined, never really receiving a prolonged race. He was part of the 2018 Tour England team but never got a match.
